PISSSED OFF. That nurse I had yesterday? Apparently didn't know jack shit. After reading a comment from jo, I called my clinic and talked to a different nurse who informed me that she had no idea what the nurse yesterday was talking about and yes, they do trigger on natural cycles as long as there is some ultrasound monitoring done. Um hello - wasn't that what I was doing there yesterday??? When I told her I was in there yesterday for an ultrasound to monitor, she was all, "Oooohh, hmmmmm..." and told me that she'd talk to the doctor and call me back. Of course. It's always a call back.
Also, I asked her if the doctor had reviewed my charts yet she told me, no, that sometimes it takes him a day or two to get to stuff like that. I informed her that in a day or two I will have ovulated so then what good does it for him to look at them to let me know his best "guestimate" of when I am going to ovulate. I don't need to know his opinion in a day or two - I need to know today. And to top it off, I don't think he needs to look at my damn charts anyway - I always ovulate between day 13 and 15. Today is 14. What I need is a trigger and then an IUI. Preferably in the next day. What good is looking at my charts?
God, I am sick of this shit. What good is having a doctor if he is not available or a nurse if she doesn't know what the fuck she is talking about??? I might as well be throwing money out the window.
What if that stupid nurse gave me bad info about folicles too? What is a good size to have in order to trigger? Anyone know?

Keep calling them. This is your life and your money they are messing with.
I would be beyond pissed too.
Good Luck. I truly hope this is the last month you have to go through this.
*hugs*
Good grief. Please tell me this is not the clinic that I used. If so, I may pitch a fit myself. As for follie size, 14 is too small-it's not mature. We would usually trigger at a minimum of 18. With BabyA, I had two 20s and one 21.
Be a pain in the ass-they get paid very well to take care of you!
When I've done my ultrasounds the techs and nurse have told me that follicles grow 1.5mm-2mm per day. My doctor prefers to trigger when the follicle is around 20mm, but I'm not sure if all doctors trigger around that size.
Good luck.
Thinking of you and hoping your clinic got their crap together and came through with some actual answers and that it went well. Nothing worse than conflicting information in an already frustrating ordeal. Hugs- Leslie
Holy shit. I would be so angry. And if they caused you to lose this cycle, I would try to get them to foot the bill for the next one. I too was told the follicle needs to be at 18 mm before they will trigger, and that they grow 2 mm a day (once they hit around 12 mm).
Good luck. I'll be thinking of you and checking in often. (I have been enjoying your blog for awhile, but don't think I've posted before.)
